Get the nokia 6230. Bounces down the street well after leaving on the roof of the car and survives 3 hours in a pint of stella to work again in 3 days after fully drying out. Easy to make and answer calls.

It begs the question maurice, why was it in a pint of stella for 3 hours.

There are loads of Galaxy S3 v iPhone on Youtube. They are both on the expensive scale, and have their good and bad points. I would never buy a Apple product on principle because I don't believe in their business ethos, which is getting like Micro$oft.
Best phone ever made is Nokia N900 (which isn't Android) IMO and after 2 years I decided to keep it another 12 months rather than upgrade. Great operating system that was open source (like Android its a variant of Linux), and could have been another option to Android - unfortunately Micro$oft flexed its muscles and paid Nokia $250 million to only use Windows on its phones. That was the end of the next generation of N900's - but the legend still lives on.

Thats my geeky contribution anyway. :)

Had an iPhone 4 for 18 months and never have much trouble with it. As I've downloaded quite a bit from apple now I'd probably never go to android (plus I have an iPad too) but I know people who have galaxy phones and also htc phones and love them. Each to their own. YouTube have lots of videos of all the features of each phone. Take a look and take your pick. iPhone 5 is due for release in the autumn to coincide with iOS 6 so that's what I'll be getting next.
