Thought i was back at Wilderspool in the 70's. To be honest I thought it was a terrible game, which is more a reflection on how my tastes have changed over the years.

Any word on when Grix is back? We're so much stronger for having his versatility in the side.

Grix is still a couple of weeks away - his recovery is taking longer than first thought.

I thought our defence tonight was superb, but the options taken on the last tackle were poor when close to the Catalan line. The kicks from Ratchford and O'Brien to gain territory were great (backed up by the chasers), especially in the first half when we completely dominated the field position. There just seemed to be a lack of creativity when trying to score, and at times it looked as if nobody was quite sure what they were doing, especially when McCarthy ending up kicking. Atkins' try was the exception - that was fantastic play from him.

Overall though, I'm extremely happy with the result. I really hope Briers is back next week, however.

Today for me was a bit so so. My views FWIW.

1. Morley clearly done. Completely anonymous and zero impact. Shame to see. Season too far.
2. We need Briers to orchestrate effective attack. McCarthy kicking on last play shows lack of organisation.
3. Hope M.Monas is just ring rusty (understandably)
4. Hill looking a belting signing.
5. Atkins sheer class. Would not swap him for any other centre in SL.
6. Hodgson superb positioning and anticipation but he's got 10 games left max.
7. Bridge clearly injured and hampered.
8. We are not hitting straps but 2nd place and CCSF is the stuff of dreams from 5 years ago.
9. We are not at our best but still winning.
10. Tony has yet to post 2 back to back losses.

2 points, may get to Wembley but an ageing side need of overhaul for 2013.

Old school game, really enjoyed it. Good crowd too. Bridge isn't fit but someone needs to tell him that his house won't burn down if he gets tackled with the ball. He doesn't have to look for the offload every single play.

One sour note for me. The Sky "Walking Intro" seemed to get reduced to Carney and Clarke. Hope it was more comprehensive on telly but it was a major let down.
Me: I'm still reeling from the news that someone is considering watching the 1st and 3rd game on Saturday and NOT watching Warrington play. It's like being in Shea Stadium when the Beatles came to town and deciding to nip out for a fag.

knockersbumpMKII: Is it FOOK, you're good but you're not THAT good, jesus you wanky fans need to get over yourselves, Beatles at the Shea in '65 was a once in a lifetime opportunity for some (despite the following years performance), you can watch a very good team in primrose & yellow play every week if you really wanted to but comparing it to one of the very best music groups of all time in an iconic stadia such as the shea is overegging your importance, you're not even the best team in SL atm

Are you on the Warrington coaching staff because you seem to know something about these players that can't be seen just by watching them play?

As has been said Moz made a clear contribution, and I don't get how you can say Hodgson's only got 10 games left, he's just put in two fantastic performances, for the Exiles and us, and still looks a world class full back. How that's a sign that he'll be finished by the end of the season, someone's going to have to explain to me.

Mozza's go forward produced the momentum for Atkins try. Plus the team seem to settle when he's on.
Easily another year for me.

In Tony, we trust.
