Wood had a couple of good games since then has been average at best. The best thing Agar has done this season is drop John and put Sykes at 6 when you have said that you have said the lot.Looking at his half time team talk at the millenium and how he was wouldnt put fire in a well lit BBQ.I was willing to give him chance but the time has come to question him as a top flight coach alas like the Cas coach we gave him a contract for 3 years.I have said we are a work in progress I still maintain it but we aint showing any sign of getting better when we should.

Giving Agar a 3 year contract is pretty much the only important thing this current regime have got wrong....but it's a very big thing. As all teams get their grounds up to scratch, what happens on the pitch is going to matter more and more. I don't see Agar being able to improve this squad and I don't trust he has the ablity to use money wisely and get more out of a better squad. He had a better squad at Hull and even our shattered and makeshift side turned them over last season. I think this squad is a little worse than I had hoped but I still feel they are grossly underachieving. I would bet a good sum that John Kear would have had them organised and we would have had 3 to 5 more wins on the board by now. So would a lot of competent coaches. How long do we persist with this weekly groundhog day? How much are we paying Agar? For me, the crowds we will slowly lose will cost more than paying him off and, if there has been no sign of us improving on these hopeless and depressingly repetitve patterns of play and mistakes, then he has to go, we cannot afford 3 years of a side that continue to look like they don't actually turn up for training.

Moore, Smith and Kirke?

No idea mate just speculating on how Leeds would look to try and do the deal if it were to happen. Interesting the rumour we had signed L'estrange from Bradford ties in with the Aiton to leave one (although I could be putting 2 and 2 together and getting 5)

With this squad of players we should be miles better than we are, when you stand back and give any side the room they will cut you up.We should be getting up and knocking them down and no player should be left looking at a team mate thinking you should have made that tackle. The defence is a shambles and aint getting better what the hell do they do in training.I would say a few other coaches would have us further down the line now and at least 4 more wins.

Some strange refereeing calls, tomkins losing the ball in the tackle, not given as a knock on and then being pushed over the try line and being awarded a penalty.
I had the fortune of chatting with the match commissioner and the officials after the game, none of who could either justify or "see" the infringements, but at least took the time to explain, however when the referee turned up he neither chose to debate the issues and positively looked down his nose at me.
A more arrogant individual, lacking in the necessary skills to fulfill his duty, I have yet to encounter in our game.
That said, our side today failed to show up, had we who knows, errors from Lee Smith, Ollie Wilkes Andy Raleigh, a kick out on the full and the bizarre officialdom all added to our downfall against a largel un impressive Wigan side, another visiting BV this season that has left with the spoils without having to get out of second gear. I still can't see what Kyle Wood is offering to a beaten side that Andy Ellis isn't given the chance to show, yet again we have players playing out of position when RA has said we have a squad of 33-34 that is too big.
I understand we are building something, however I can't see wether its going to be a bungalow or a skyscraper, and judging by the performances over the last three or four games, neither can the players.

My son and i were staying at the same hotel in Cardiff as the said Refferee during a Magic Weekend . I have never met a person in his position so lacking in social skills as him . On more than one occasion and by several different people he had to be reminded that good manners cost nothing .

What happened to this class player Lee Smith that the Leeds fans were telling us how lucky we were to get? He was pants during the 1st 20 minutes when the rest of the guys were holding their own.

In all fairness he has only been at the club a couple of days so you can't expect too much from him. Having said that it was a strange debut performance and he did not look too enthusiastic about being at Wakefield.

Great crowd, great following from Wigan. Some fantastic rugby by Wigan, a great team to watch and lovely tries that simply needed applauding. Sam Tompkins is just a sublime player. I thought for 15 minutes we had a real go, we tried to ruffle a few feathers. Wigan were to good but we did our best to help them. We just do not seem to have enough brains in the side, we kept forcingthe pass and giving the ball to Wigan. Plenty of effort but not not enough understanding of how to play the game.
Thought Fox and Cockayne were good, Amor was our best forward.
My gripes for the day are : why when Kirmond was getting his backside handed to him on a plate did we not either swoop Lee Smith , who did a good job on Goulding, with him. Or why not take Kirmond of and put Walshaw in the centre. Walshaw and Trout again not given enough game time, both were doing a great job in defence but got so little game time. Trout had fire in his belly today. Leave them on the pitch. Why do we keep persisting with Wood, he is just not good enough.

my gripe is ball retention and a poor kicking game the completion rate was a joke and has being for most of the season on the few occasions we did put a decent kick in the chase was poor the kick in the 2nd half a classic example when Tonkins got a pen a result of players stopping thinking the ball was dead he should have being nailed
Kirmond was clearly unfit and should not have played Smith had a very bad day at the office and Wood what is Agar looking at the Ellis situation is nothing short of a disgrace
Ben,Amor,Aiton and Fox all did well shocked a bit that Fox appears to have lost his pace when clear in the 2nd half and should have cut inside Trout needs more game time

Yes Wigan were the better team a good team made to look world beaters mainly due to us giving them the ball time and time again cut this out and the score is respectable 52 points at home is a disgrace the buck stops with P poor coaching Andrew Glover is doing a great job but please wake up before the season ends and get rid of Agar he is the weakest link

It typified our season. Lots of fizz, lots of effort, but no reward. Wigan were good when they woke up, but we looked a beaten side during the second half. It was a pleasure to watch the double-kick try by Tomkins. Couldn't help but applaud that. Absolute class.

The side needs more than a couple of additions. I don't think the pack needs too many additions, because it is young and strong, but the backs do not provide much of a threat. Plenty of effort, but nowhere is there any real threat.
