Aye, Federer's a barrel of laughs, from a country complicit in massive international tax frauds and hoarding gold for the Nazis. I can see why he'd be so popular.

I don't see what either of those things have to with federer.

Has anybody got an idea as to what Simon Fuller was doing sat next to Murray's mother at Wimbledon?.

A lot of childish hate for Andy Murray on here. I thought he did exceptionally well to get this far and played his part in a brilliant final. He's getting closer and I agree with Federer that he will win at least one Grand Slam.

To see a grown man reduced to tears because he came up short just shows how much it meant to him - a moving sight to see that emotion from ANY sportsman IMO. There's no shame in losing to Roger Federer though - outstanding from Federer. As much as I was rooting for Murray, you do have to applaud Federer's genius at times. He's the Lionel Messi of tennis.

Murray lacks that extra gear I think to take that last step to glory. Fair play to him but with Nadal and Djokovic being his age as well I think he'll struugle to win a major.

He's really fit is Murray and has got a lot of class.
But there are players fitter and classier.
He needs to go away and work on his physique more.
It's just that little extra power in his shots and that little bit more stamina that would see him become a champion.
Otherwise, he will never win a major.
He is naturally gifted but hasn't got the body at the moment.

And I am not sure a cardboard cut-out as a coach helps.
It is clear when players are not throwing the ball high enough on first serves, that's when a bit of coaching wouldn't go amiss.

Bump...

Fantastic performance tonight and a great game all round. Really looked like he was going to blow it after losing the 4th set. Delighted he's managed to get his first Grand Slam under his belt. Hopefully he can push on and win a few more now he's got the first out of the way.

Federer cruising to his 23 grand slam win from 25 finals.

Murray doesn't have the mental strength or that ounce of extra ability to win a grand slam title. He will never win wimbledon or any other slam.

Oops :SHHH:

Well done, Andy.

Thought this was a thread complaining about Murray's no-show at the Olympic parade yesterday. The massive slacker.
