Saints have played their worst rugby in the last 10 years at Widnes this season and still come out with the win. so fortress Stobart, mmm maybe not. Considering this time round we had to beat the referee aswell!!

You didn't deserve to lose today that's for sure, but Lance's try was certainly a try and your 'missed conversion' should have been given, so it balances it out really.

However the level of consistency that the refs do not attain around the ruck is killing the game. Why the need for so many penalties? Maybe they should watch the origin game again...let the game flow.

nail on head on all counts good sir. Its the nature of competative sport that refs won't please everyone, but most game these days throw up controversy and outright glaring mistakes, the inconsistency is also mind blowing. These things need to be addressed.

Not all that strange. I'm Widnes born and bread. I seen what the Widnes fans did at York and Dewsbury 12 years ago and decided, that is not the kind of family sport that I wanted to be part of!

For St Helens to have only beat the Woeful Widnes Vikings by one point is nothing short of an embarrassment.

THAT result shows Saints are on the slide. No doubt about it.

The top sides have put cricket scores up against such a minging outfit like the Vikings this season.

Of course Saints are on the slide, making it even funnier that we still beat teams like Widnes!

I was there to with my family too, shocking as it was and we dont want that to see that in any sport ! so you jumped out the pan into the fire then ive witnessed more scenes over the years of watching the game at knowsley rd and semis around the country between both teams ie familys being spat on and scenes like what you described above ,,,,, so the saying "people in Greenhouses comes to mind "
