Not hookers come loose forward come scrum half but 2 proper halfbacks who don't need to be interchanged. We have no no. 7 at the moment and Riddy is too slow / hesitant / slow and restricted passing ability / poor kicking game / not the best tackler. We struggle to create something near opponents line and the kick is often too far or hits the opponents legs. Halfbacks jobs?

We missed Bob Beswick tonight, he takes the pressure off Riddy as another kicking option.
Careful you don't spend too long down there, you'll end up talking funny, eating straw, drinking cider and marrying family members. "jonny the leyther 2011"

There is nothing wrong with Riddy.

He needs a scrum half and I have posted before we have one but he is currently playing fullback.

We lost two night because Fev are currently the form team in the Championship and we are missing too many players.

OK no Blackpool this season but injured players will recover and our season is by no means over.

A scrum half will not improve Riddy's speed of thought, nor will it improve his passing or his kicking etc. Lets be honest, he had a good last 15 mins against Sheffield but prior to that it was generally agreed he had lost form / confidence and since then he has done nowt.

So are you going to put your hand in your pocket to buy this player then?

Don't you think the coach knows we need a bigger squad?

Without the money to pay one, we're sort of stuck with what we've got and every player loses confidence/form at some point - does that mean we should dump them and bring in someone new? That would do wonders for team morale wouldn't it?

Before I start in no way am I slating or having a go, just an honest opinion. I just don't see what people see in riddy, he is slow ( in thought and speed ) has no kicking game what so ever and I have never seen a stand off get tackled in possession of the ball as much as he does, with his step of his left foot back inside. BUT what people can't knock is his effort, loyalty and passion for the Leigh centurions, he puts his hand up every week and tries his knackers off which is commendable, I just don't rate him but I know others on this board do and that's what makes the game great, we all have different opinions !!!!
