I was referring to the delay in time.

I don't know what he's done or supposedly done. However, the delay in time isn't for what has or hasn't happened. It's purely because the Disciplinary Meeting wasn't until tonight.

There are lots of people all have views of what has happened. Some people really want to beleive this is the lesser but I feel not. Rangi Chase in Super League is good for the game and I think it will be some time before he is seen again.

Will see what happens but it looks like their is a reporting ban on this too. If you want to beleive that the club haven't had time to decide on the outcome of this when he is your star player feel free to do so. But don't be shocked when the worst keep secret I rugby league comes out.

Why not enlighten us lesser mortals as to what this secret is then you can return with a smug "I told you so" comment?

Smug no this is a hot RL topic and this is a free discussion.
It is a sad day for a man with a young family and a loss to the game if true. All I am saying is there are many runours of a more serious nature that people don't seem to want to beleive. I have spoken to a very good source and a fellow player has told someone the same.

If people want to believe he has missed two key matches and there is no update due to breaking a curfew and a couple of pints good on them. All I am saying is don't be blinkered as that story doesn't add up. There is mention of police involvement too and all this adds up to something or a more serious nature.

Put on a public forum what this? Until the investigation is complete and public this must remain speculation.

If this is a full scale disciplinary process, involving an investigation and subsequent hearing, then the delay is understandable - there are certain proscribed timescales that have to be followed and it's very easy for the respondent to delay the process by, for example, exercising their right to be accompanied at the hearing then advising that their representative is not available until x date.

Equally, if as some people have alluded to, there is involvement from a third party, it's not unusual for them to insist that they be allowed to conclude their own investigations before the employer commences theirs; for example, a criminal investigation will always take precedent over an employment matter - in those circumstances, it's perfectly normal for an employee to be suspended on full pay.

As much as an employer might want to get matters like this boxed off quickly, it can harm them later if they don't follow the correct procedure; their own disciplinary process has to be adhered to and they have to able to demonstrate that their actions were 'fair and reasonable in the circumstances.'

I don't have any inside information on Rangi by the way, just making a general observation about the timescale involved.

So to sum up, you're just peddling rumours that are bull, being a typical Wakey fan.

Got it :thumb:

He's missed 2 games because the meeting only took place yesterday HTH.

I was actually trying to suggest that Cas appear to be handling the matter properly.

Isn't 'ffs' a circumvention of the swear filter by the way and as such, a breach of the AUP?

Thread locked, Wakey fans have over run it as per usual and now it's full of crap and rumour peddling.

A new thread can be started once the club comment on the outcome of the hearing.
