According to Wikipedia we are signing McGoldrick thought he was already Hull bound? Haha

So long as he isn't Wigan bound, he can go wherever he likes!

My sentiments exactly we may have injuries but surely calling Russell or mellor back would come first?

I'd sooner have David Cameron at stand-off than Ryan McGoldrick. A disgrace of a human being. (Can you tell I dont like him?)

Best man on the field last night in the England v Exiles match was the Salford standoff Daniel Holdsworth,I think he would be a far better bet than Chase for Wigan.
The lads on the Salford board are getting a bit twitchy saying that it is rumoured that Hull are smelling around.
They are also saying that he is contracted for 2013,so if he was to go a fee would be required. It would be better to pay a fee for Holdsworth rather than chase.

Holdsworth and Smith have done very well for Salford this year and have formed a very strong trio with Pattern. If they both came to Wigan they'd have an amazing fullback in Tomkins to link up with and a much better pack. The advantage that they've played together for a couple of years would be great too.

I'd certainly settle for that but I can't see it. If Salford lost Smith, Pattern and Holdsworth all in one off season they're back to square one which would be a shame.

I am still undecided over any potential move for Chase.

I do rate him as a very, very good player and i am sure that is of kilter style would fit into our disciplined approach to attack. I think he could be even more potent if he had to reign in his flamboyancy. Lets be honest he would have to be far less reliant on being the main man going forwrd.

My only concern is regarding his attitude and mental strength. Not because he is seen as a bit of a thug (let be honest the game is full of people that are worse), more because he has really struggled with the MOS title and all the surrounding hype.

"if" he was to come to Wigan, there would be a large transfer fee involved which may even be a world record amount. I am not sure he has the right type of character to carry it off.

Let be honest there are a large proportion of our fans who will form an early opinion of a player and never change it regardless of how well they are going to play.

Holdsworth (imo) is not in the same class of players as Chase. He is a safe bet however and can defiantly see the benefit of signing him.
What's the rumpus, Tom?
