I wish people would stop thinking there is cash left in the salary cap. Please remember that a lot of our players have been receiving long term improved deals for them to stay

true...plus eden and fairbank new deals to keep them....like two new players right there

but space is available with a few of the top earners going.

I am assume TONKS will be leaving as well. Signed on a one year contract to prove himself and has not played due to injuries.

Maybe in time with the right environment in which to develop...
People will come out with all sorts of figures about what players like Graham etc had achieved when they were Mull's age and how he is a bit short from being a truly top class prop but I know three things...
a) He's big
b) He doesn't slow down when he's running the ball in
c) He seems to be ambitious which should mean he works hard to get better.

I'll be honest... I'm gutted he's going for two reasons..
Firstly, I think he should have shown the club a little loyalty for all the support and development they have put in him. But he's gone for the bucks. Widnes offered him good money to stay and his mates have made no secret of the fact that Hudds improved on that offer considerably.
Secondly I think in two to three years he will be a quality player. Not straight away. He'll show promise but he's one for the future rather than right away.

I don't really wish him well for the future because I'm annoyed in the manner in which he has left. But there's no denying his potential.

Got to feel sorry for Tonks, had a chance and couldn't take it through no fault of his own
Now at midnight all the agents
And the superhuman crew
Come out and round up everyone
That knows more than they do
