When Tasney was at Hull he showed a lot of talent and could have stepped up to be a top player IMO. A lot of us thought it was a shame that he wasted his talent down the pub. He's come back through the lower clubs and earnt a new SL deal, if he can keep his nose clean he will be a good addition.

Significant upgrade on McGoldrick, with the same off-field attitude.

I don't disagree with you but let's at least give him that chance to prove himself. The ball is in his court.

sacked by his clubs:

Leeds - left to go to Sydney (who would not go)

Sydney - Left after playing 8 games to return to HUll

Hull - sacked for the above reasons

Batley - Left - topotion in contract to join a super league club

Crusaders - Went bust

York - currently in first team

I assumed the phrased sacked of by his clubs refers to the plural - care to expand or prehaps give him a chance to develope the Talent which Sydney Roosters & Hull clearly saw in

How've you come to that conclusion? He was sacked once (by Hull). Left Leeds to try his hand in Australia (fair play to the lad, unlike the super stars of our game like McGuire, Burrow, Peacock, Sinfield, Wilkin, Senior, Gleeson, etc who take the easy option of staying in the UK). Problems at Hull and left Crusaders when they imploded. Fair play to the lad whose gone back to York and refound some form. In my view, he has improved the squad playing in the same kind of role as Ryan McGoldrick (jack of all trades). Welcome to Castleford Tigers JT

If he comes with the right attitude and wants to earn a 2-3 yr deal with Cas then I think he could be a decent signing as a utility back.

I've noticed it hasn't worked for him at half back at York and has ended up playing full back.

Got to be halves or 13 for us, can't see him wanting a wing berth?
Before I get a bagging, I don't think he is a 13, but could manage the channel on websters size who is like a back rower.

Who knows in the playing shirt lottery where people will end up! (thats a joke btw, we don't get much of that here lately)

Certainley has the ability to be a lot better player than Mcgoldrick, much worst off the field, he was in front of our Chairman at the time over 8 times for things off the field.
