With cas just announcing the signing of Jordan tansey do we reckon that frees up Richie mathers move to us on a permenant basis. Thoughts?

Well, personally speaking I reckon I'd like to see Motu Tony given a run at full back before making a decision on Richie Mathers.

I'd keep Mathers

I've seen a few too many bad mistakes from mathers at the back to be happy with him signing.

Rather look at our academy backs to bring one of them through next year.

Mathers can look a world beater at times then look dire at others its what you get with him.He has had some good games for us as well as the obligatory bad ones but who else was about when we needed a full back.Could John make a full back who knows and unless a better full back comes along then it could be a good thing keeping Mathers.

If Mathers is the future then i fear the worst, let him go he's not good enough.

World class at whinging on Twitter. Maybe his time has passed, maybe he just looked better with better players around him.

I'd keep him personally. He can be brilliant for 79/80 minutes, and although his mad moments can cost us dearly, Id rather have a player doing well for 79 minutes in the team. If he does leave, we'll struggle to get a better replacement imo.

Snakes and ladders with Mathers. He can make some very basic mistakes in defence but he is good at getting into the attacking line.
Even Custer couldn't muster a stampede like this.

First half of the season I thuoght Mathers was excellent (despite him not kicking the ball dead at Widnes.
However for the last 4 weeks (please take note Mr Agar- 4 weeks) he has been a liability, missed tackles, cant catch, dropped ball running the ball out of defence.
Maybe someone has told him already that we are not keeping him.
I know there is a balance, to allow players to atone for a poor performance by keeping them in the following week but, Mathers has been a liability and will certainly be tested this weekend.
As for Smith I dont know.
Never liked him, but then he was always in a Rhino shirt
