The only way is up, but you could say that about a graveyard!
I know of at least one graveyard where that wasn't true. It flooded and much of its contents drifted off down the neighbouring river. Result was that the church was abandoned and a new one built on safer ground further uphill.
So, is that as valid analogy with us being at the bottom of SL and there being the great river of rugby league, maybe waiting to drown us?
