He was superb tonight for the Exiles.

Will he be a Salford player next season?

Yes he was

Yes he will be!

Absolutely brilliant display by DJ helped by good showings from Menzies, Moon, Monaghan and Hodgson down their right. Everything went through Holdsworth and his passing, footwork and defence were all top drawer. Fully deserved mom award, very proud he's a Salford player

I came on here hoping there would be a thread about DJ tonight. He was superb! I remember a conversation a while back about someone saying to him why Salford? His reply I'm lead to believe was something like 'why not' and something along the lines of 'they don't have to be rubbish forever' and I'm here to change that?

Today I learn he may be signing for some other club? Shame on you if you are Danny! I sent you a private PM on facebook a year or so back.

Salford needs the Daniel Holdsworths, ala Shearer and not the dollar chasers ala Robinson! (Ratch your an exception to that rule imo!)

However DJ I wouldn't begrudge your move.
this will not be the end, or even the beginning of the end.
It is merely the end of the beginning

I do hope if he is to move then the club hold firm and demand a decent fee for a very good player.
We only had to see what type of player he was last night with good players all around him. I personally wouldn't be surprised if Leeds looked at a Houldsworth with them looking to refresh an aging and tiring set of players.
At the very least we should be looking at a couple of very good young prospects coming the opposite way in exchange.

'IF' Holdsworth moves on then so be it

He's under contract for 2013 so of course a transfer fee would be involved.

A lot of people who seem to be in the know keep telling me DJ will be a Hull FC player next season.

Who know's on that one, but after watching DJ last night in that sort of form Salford City Reds need to keep hold of him for as long as they can.

WELL PLAYED LAST NIGHT DJ..

Yes, Well done DJ!

.....................and if he wants to go, then so be it. No point in keeping players who's minds are elsewhere.

Hopefully we can continue building a young, entertaining and enthusastic squad.

I haven't heard that Leeds are interested but I've heard the Hull FC rumours. I hope he stays at Salford to be honest.

He was the best player on the pitch by far last night. Another Salford lad in Ratchford was also pretty good. Fair play to you guys, fingers crossed you can keep hold of them in future! Moon is also a quality player, and if you can carry on to build with players of a similar quality then top eight should be a target in the near future.

Where have you been for the last 12 months? Ratchford plays for Warrington.
