The sport was on its knees 20 years ago. Warrington were in financial melt down, bottom of the league, council not supporting them , ground falling apart- if all they have to worry about is the kids not good enough just yet to beat the Reds then I would suggest they are in a nice position
So Saints don’t have cladding- so what. What they do have is a brand new ground. Who cares about Hall of fames
Leeds underperforming. a couple of points of third, 3 wins on the spin, semi final of the CC in 2 weeks, 2 nice big silver cups in the locker hmmm
Wakey planning permission for a new ground. Wigan, Hudds, Hull playing in superb facilities
More young English players playing the game at the top level than for many years
The junior game and the senior game aligned to summer rugby under sport England’s money
Sky handing out money like never before
Crowds the biggest the game has seen in years
RL on Sky every night this week
RL takes footballs prestigious Mon night spot in the off season
Growth of teams in new areas seeing unprecedented increases

Fastest growing sport for kids in the south
Your right the game is doomed
You keep living in dreamland! you are being pure selective! are you Alistair Campbell, king of spin, in his own mind?
I could answer every point you make, but when you feel the world is Perfect! then no one is going to change your mind, all I can say is let's wait and see!
I fully endorse the game is the fastest growing sport for kids in the south and teams in new areas, which is absolutely superb developments, but try and get many northern fans to accept that as good news, they would rather keep the game to the Yorkshire & Lancashire homeland and perhaps Cumbria! small time thinking!

What is it you are trying to say?
Who cares what a few thickets from mining villages think. Murdock probably hasnt been to Cas but it is he who is the one pulling the strings.
Its interesting that you dismiss my observations but use the lack of cladding on the rear of a brand new stadium as a negative performance indicator of the current state of RL. Unusal approach.
Why dont you answer each of the points within the spin?

translation:
wah! wah! you've contradicted me and I don't like it! wah!
I think everyone does understand the problem especially here! and now at the club as well, we are not unique!
Bradford were did all the money go? Spent in curry houses by the players after big wins-very hospitable chairman St Helens with a stadium that still has no cladding on the backs of the stadium meaning fans have winds behind them and rain comes in when wet, Polish football celebrations are banned on rainy days preventing fans facing the rain also the areas of the bars are waterlogged? fans need to resole their footwear, wear wellies, or as a last resort flippers Leeds completely under performing 3 from 3 should be 4 from 3 argument accepted Castleford? Still play in Tiger colourswithout the biteWarrington with the player rotation meaning they accept they will lose some matches, attitude does it matter? London without player rotation accept defeat- attitude it goes on and on! life does just that A Chairman at St Helens who has a road names after himself, he has a history of getting lost on his way to home games has been recognised by the council as a Freeman of The Town His necklace will get stolen in scouseland- not a good thing and the latest has added himself to the Hall of Fame at the ground, it is hiswith the few distinguished players selected so far to feature on the walls! should he have his as a mural on the pitch Does it sum up the game of RL itself, never have I been so disillusioned with the sport. Life’s good if that’s all that bothers you- My grubby apple has been taken from the office fridge

was watching an nfl doco. on one of their teams and they used the term bomb to describe those long high passes from quaterback to running back and i think gibson took that idea, realized you cant throw the ball forward in RL and adapted it to a "bomb" kick we have

What a "honour" to wake up just after 6am and check the forum on the iPhone! and to see the "old guard" all come out! Never fails to amaze me how some do not practice what they preach? I did not do a full response as I did not want to go off thread? but no it needs a "translation", I find it so funny.
At one stage I took things far too serious and I was told by someone think it may have been Dave? don't think or feel attacks are against you and since then I don't!
I thought this was a forum? we are not and never going to agree all the time, my only point to East Stander was I don't believe the game is in a good as shape as some may think at present, as I replied I do agree with some of the areas of development and the youth game in the south, but that is not the case in the heartlands.
At the end of the day it is only sport! I will stand by the London club as I have done so since the start, but if the club should fail that rugby league is finished for me, it was what I was brought up on and played, but I enjoy my football and West Ham much more these days.
