If we were looking at "mature" overseas players, then Nathan Hindmarsh would be great fit. He's playing as well as ever, a fantastic athlete and roll model, very much in the Steve Menzies mode.
I'm not one normally for signing players over the age of 30, but I would make an exception for him.

I've never seen him play centre or scrum half.

Not often I disagree but I do not think we need a player like Hindmarsh, he has been and still is an excellent player but I do not think he is the style of player that we need.
I am sure he could do a job at Prop but he lacks the nasty intimidation side that I feel we need, Sam Moa is a player who has it and is being linked to us, can't see any other realistic targets, add this to the fact he is off contract and is big mates with Eric, looks feasible.
Whoever we bring in, realistically we are going to have to settle for a drop in quality attempting to replace Lima, Finch and Tommy.
Unofficially the most boring poster on Cherry and White.

He'll be retiring into media work for next season probably had enough of playing.

He is already set on retirement I think. It could be an option if you moved Hansen to prop, if not it would just prevent game time for all of our young backrowers. I would rather spend the big money on play makers which are hard to find whether you are a super league club or an NRL club.
We seem to have no probelm producing hard working athletes with good pace to become top backrowers. We need to produce more players with a better skill set to develop into top centres and half backs. I'm hoping with Williams and Hampshire currently playing under the same structures as the first team they will be able to make the step up a little quicker after maybe being loaned out next season. Untill then we need a half back to replace Finch/Tommy. A 6 is vital, an experience SR would be a luxury which we don't really need.
Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good - sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league - Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate - the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever - Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go - Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know - FIOS
Hull have just released Jamie Ellis from his contract early, short term fix?
Mellor is a better player. He would have been a shoe-in for Tommy if he had not had a bad injury. Don't write Powell off yet, he'll get his chance once he has played a few more matches in the U20s.
