I didnt say attendances dont matter. No need to roll out the stats netball boy. I said empty seats dont matter.
They do.....empty seats cost money. Open a stand and it's safety cert will require a number of stewards to be in attendance.....3 sides of the stoop holds about 12,000....76% of these seats are empty.
As for the netball boy comment......knock away if you must. I got them from 1,500 to 2,400 in one year.....60% up. Meanwhile, back at the TW2 ranch.......a decrease is the order of the day!

was watching an nfl doco. on one of their teams and they used the term bomb to describe those long high passes from quaterback to running back and i think gibson took that idea, realized you cant throw the ball forward in RL and adapted it to a "bomb" kick we have

Wow you sure have reached the dizzy heights of sports marketing. Which NFL clubs are headhunting you for next season?

I am happy with a 60% increase in year one........it's a shame that 2,500 is the limit in the arena...I'd have them past the Broncos next year... ...feel free to post more funny stuff about netball.....it's live on SKY TV here and on Fox in 'stralia...it gets more viewers then NRL games not featuring the warriors, but hey ho.....as you were!

That's a great result.
Can I ask if the team is successful on the Court as well? I would assume so.
Furthermore, what is roughly is the per capita marketing cost for this increased footfall?
Best season on the court for the team...won 5/lost 8........missed the play-offs (top 4) by 4 wins.
Cheap as chips....loads of footwork and player visits. Interestingly, if you call a school here and ask if the players (of any top tier club in any sport) can come along they (club and school together) will organise it around PE lessons...get a photographer involved and make an event of it. Vouchers handed out at games for the next one....data collection, emailing updates etc....nothing that costs much....sales through schools and clubs, 5 tickets = one raffle ticket.....signed/framed shirts etc...

A combination of marketing and community , the more work you do and the more you can offer, the better the return
