Great player, including internationally, and local icon as he no doubt is, Sullivan's Wembley links are perhaps not quite significant enough to make it a complete surprise. Thought he might make the shortlist in fairness.

If we are talking about Wembley links ,what about Roger :BOW: playing most of cup final with a broken jaw then? Surely this is more iconic than all of those listed.

To Rovers fans, certainly - but in the wider RL community, much less so. Very hard to find something that will please all or even most.

A group covering several eras and clubs might be best.
