There's some twists and turns in this yet; At the fans meeting tonight a director of Greenwoods (one of the Bulls sponsors) turned up, and told everyone including the Administrator that he'd been trying to get in touch. The administrators response - 'I don't have voicemail'.
((Its up to the clubs to run their ships properly, the Bulls gambled on bigger crowds and uplifted merchandise sales. It didnt pay off and they didnt balance their books and are now paying the price. This is NOTHING to do with the RFL in any way shape or form.))
The RFL granted them a licence with dodgy finances as they did with Crusaders so they have to share some of the blame.
((Attendences are up, viewing figures on TV are up, the league is even more competative than ever, the National side has genuine competition for places...yes, its in good shape.[/quote]
Did you get those rose coloured specs from Specsavers or are you Richard Lewis in disguise Unfortunately the game is in a mess and is divided and is run by an inept bunch of buffoons.

Please feel free to list dates, accounts and other relevant statistics, because believe me, I have a shed load that says we are better off now than we were 17 years ago.

was watching an nfl doco. on one of their teams and they used the term bomb to describe those long high passes from quaterback to running back and i think gibson took that idea, realized you cant throw the ball forward in RL and adapted it to a "bomb" kick we have

I feel Voldemort Caisley's presence. The man who started the Bulls demise will be back to pick up a cheap deal. His associate was stood next to Guilfoyle at yesterday's meeting.
It's going to happen and he'll hail himself as a saviour and the RFL will lap it up and rubber stamp the new license. As you were by the end of August everyone . . . .
What should the RFL have done? Kicked them out of SL and forced them into Administration earlier?
Yes. Would have saved a lot of hard-working people who are now creditors and unlikely to see a penny, not to mention those daft (and generous, passionate and fundamentally good) people who flushed £500k down the pan last month.

I think the same way come the first round of the 2013 season it will look very much the same as it did in 2012. I personally think that the Bulls should be relegated for getting into this mess and I thought the same with Wakey as well when they had theirs last year. But look what happened there admittidly from the outside looking in it would appear that Bradford is worse than Wakeys situation.
More importantly, I'm pretty sure Greenwoods was bought out by very rich chinese firm.
A lot of people on here will scream that we shouldn't have 'benefactors' in the game. Which is a load of garbage. Unlikely as it is, if one day some rich chinese guy loved League and wanted to plough money into Bradford we should let him go for it. For that matter he shouldn't have to worry about a hard salary cap either...provided that a) there's a limit to squad size and structure (so he can't buy all the best players, just 13 of them) b) he can't put the debt on the club, and c) 'cap' overspend is 'taxed' and put into grassroot rugby.
We need to encourage benefactors, not demonize them. Our sport lives in a fantasy world.
