cant see for the life in me what lod did wrong yesterday, i thought we looked a much more solid side with him in it, he just needs the game time, plenty of time for fairbank but he isnt the new messiah, agree with what stella has to say, for me yeaman didnt appear to ground the ball seeing it again but thats the way it goes at the moment, the improvement was massive to me the signs were there that we are coming out of the slump.

Personally I thought the ball might have just touched the white line as Brough was tackling him. Brough did then roll yeaman onto his back and the ball wasn't grounded then. It happened so quick that I might be wrong but my initial instinct was to say that a try had been scored.

the comments about LOD doing nothing are laughable...for a comeback game i thought he was brilliant, gave us alot more agression and tightened up the defence

i was disapointed with eden a little, twice i though he could of gone himself and rounded the full back for a try, he has the pace. might be lacking abit confidence at the moment, earlier in the season he would of gone for it but passed on these occasions. (albeit we went on to score from one play anyway!)
also i think his positioning need to improve as the last line of defence, hermaia went through a massive gap (think it was lee who just watched him glide through) but eden was nowhere.

and the hull fc try at the end was poor defending, they had so much space...only cudjoe was around! where was murphy and brough

on the yeaman tryissue i think whenhe first was tackled he touched it down then brough did brilliant to turn him and hold him up... would of been intresting to see on the big screen!

still im happy with the display, all is not lost on this showing.

as kev brown has mentioned it was a few lapses that cost us....recently it has been ill discipline and not sticking to building pressure which has been costing us.

I dont know how old you are brearly but you are spot on about LOD,some of the posters on here must be watching a different game to me,young Fairbank is not at the level of Lod,or Mase, or any of the pack that played yesterday he will get his time he is only young, but thats just my oppinion.

Luke O'Donnell was a monster yesterday, a fully fit Luke is scary. Mason doesn't look interested at the moment, which is unfortunate (key point was not ready for Eorl's offload & then didn't dive on the ball) Fairbank was playing well earlier in the season when he was getting the game time and I feel should be back in the squad asap

I also think, to add my two penneth, Bruno should be back at centre, with Gilmour being used in the front row. Leroy needs a rocket up his backside, "Billy" Eden has gone backwards since Brown's comments, and I'd seriously think about putting Brown back to half back, Grix to full back and if both fit, Robinson and Faiumu as rotational hookers.

Chan's another one I think has gone off the boil, I'd consider giving Cording a game also.

Lod knocked on in front of our sticks on the second tackle- that was the turning point when we let them back in the game. It was a terrible mistake and completely unforced. Eden was in the right place as he was ready to defend the kick that would have come if tommy lee wasn't caught napping. Teams are getting wise -our wings come in too far and it's simple to score out wide against us- the reason for that is that because we have a light pack who need helping out in the middle of the field. Please god don't put Gilmour back in the front row. I agree about chan- and that's happened since NB decided not to play him for the full 80 but stick him on the bench. He's an 80 minute player.
The only player who knows how to run a line Onto the ball currently is Patrick.

Gilly has been very poor for my money for a few weeks (which of them hasnt) but particularly his defence is shocking imo - deffo Bruno back to centre

Eden has been fine - even since Browns comments, he seems to have become safer under high balls and his mistakes seem to less down to him pushing things than others picking the wrong option

Mason certainly looked interested against London imo, something has gone on behind the scenes perhaps.

LOD needs to get back to game speed

Gilmour defended very well on sunday and had a sound game.

For the last try there was a huge gap out wide. Cudjoe came in to stop the player having a walk in. the ball was passed on and this left Murphy in an impossible 2 on 1 situation. The whole organisation of the defence needs changing because if not this will happen time after time.

O Donnell knocked on as he was trying to run on to the ball at pace and the ball wasn't great.

think nathan brown agrees re fairbank...he wanted to give him game time to get back upto speed rather than throw him straight back in, he got his time in the under 20's at the weekend so he will get his chance again sooner rather than later.
