Here i am praising Mr Stokes before the game but i feel her had a shocker today , let Batley get away with to many high shots , and then was very harsh sin binning Littler , it may sound like sour grapes , but i felt he murdered us in penalties .
beleive me he was not harsh sin binning Littler it happened right in front of us and he clearly bent the player arm back, still probabaly pee'd off with the ball steal on him early doors or just frustration
the ref was not good but we were not at our best, so its wasnt the ref s fault, he was very picky on some things though and seemed to ignore offside altogether. I hope its not him Thursday however.
We were guilty of that on a good few occasions. I was stood towards the bottom of the slope for the last 10 minutes of the first half and we were offside on virtually every tackle. In fact, it probably contributed to so many tries being conceded in that spell because the lack of a proper line meant there was gaps all over the place.
We had 8 players missing from our squad. Goulden, Taylor, Spencer, Nash, Laithwaite, Duffy, Pownall and Maden. They had 4 giants in their forwards who absolutely battered us. They are dark horses for Grand Final at end of season in my opinion.
Can't stand that ref. He was just smirking when he walked off at half time. How he awarded that last try in first half is beyond me when one of our players was taken out. Anyway our mistakes contributed to the loss again as with the Fev game. Still think Leigh have done extremely well with such a paper thin squad and no money.

it constantly annoys me when people just blame the ref for any defeat we may suffer, i did not see the ref wonder offisde, or knock on or do bad tackles at any stage of the game, i did see however players from leigh doing this, the crux of the matter is we even playing poorly could of won that game quite easily if it had not been for basic errors, i am sure our boys know they let themselves aswell as us down, and no excuses about injuries, apart from robson our 14 the rest could and have played previously for us, as i said this is rowleys biggest and toughest challenge as a coach, lets see how we as a club respond on thursday night, and of course i shall be at por to cheer our boys on.

I don't think that particular horse is that dark to be honest WYSIWYG!

His 'smirk' as you describe it was probably in response to the 2-3 Leigh fans who took it upon themselves to let him know the depth of their feelings at half time! To be honest, it made us smirk too!!!

As a neutral I believe he had an ok game. His missed some (let go, call it what you will), and pulled some - both way. There was an element of obstruction to Leigh's 2nd try I thought could have been pulled back but he let it go to the angst of some Batley fans - c'est la vie. At the end the score reflected the game - not the ref!!

With their 4 massive forwards, their excellent half backs, their speedy wingers, a coach like John Kear, I think that is very arrogant of you and I wouldn't bet on you if you had to meet them at Batley in the play-offs, which of course you won't.
