1003 supporters, how do clubs survive?

In Batley's case, it's making the most of what the facility offers. Car parking, half-time draw etc and getting the customer to eat and drink as much as they can within the confines of the ground. The bar and the eating area behind the short stand is a money generator, with volunteers making the most of it.

Batley have that to their advantage, but while that attendance isn't all that great, I reckon it'll be twice what Hunslet got today.

Nearly didn't get them, was only a bit of 'finny magic' to seal it for us.

They were the only team to beat us in the NRC qualifiers and that was at our place  so gonna be a bit squeaky bum time during that game  .

Either way, what will be, will be and theres bugger all us the fans can do about it except support our teams no matter what :ROCKS:
The weak conform, the strong survive.

On our ar$es at present at Leigh, last years financial problems and this years austerity solution means a small squad and up to this last week we have been lucky.
Yesterday we had Laithwaite, Goulden and Taylor missing from the back row, Bibey (retired) and Spencer from the front, Duffy, and both wingers in Maden and Pownall. We then lost Beswick early doors. As a consequence we played a lad from Leigh East on the bench - Thursday could be embarassing.

This is why im glad that Fax dont rely on DR's. As soon as SL clubs change their mind there gone. And if you have a small squad anyway your struggling.

absolutely. Rely on dual reg and they'll be tears at some point but it's a cheap (free) option so I can see why a team with a scratch squad might pad their squad out with dual reg options. We have one. He's a good player and I'd love to see him permanently in a rovers shirt. If he's not available we have a big enough squad at the mo to absorb it. similarly I'm glad we don't rely on dual reg.

We don't have a choice, but the timing of his departure couldn't have been worse. They also cost £250 a game I understand.
