Three elbows, ha don't make me laugh.
Just seen it for the first time on SL fulltime.
Hock makes a hash of it, Elima drops on the ball, Mickey comes in on the deck arms around Elima's neck.
Elima stands up, Mickey still hanging onto the neck so Elima tries to shrug him off, he still holds on. He tries to shrug him off again, he is still holding onto his neck. The final shrug at worst could be an elbow to the ribs, but that's using wigan glasses. Really it's just another shrug. This gets mickey off his neck and he punched elima who does not roll on the floor, he just holds his face.
Typical Wiganers, making up some drama to excuse their players actions thinking that because it was not live on TV no one else would see it for what it was.
Similar to the wiganers trying to say LMS headbutted Hock to excuse hock whirling his fists.
Certainly there is now an option to defeat Wigan in the playoffs, first game just get at Hock and MM, you could have 2 bans straight out there. Who knows how many head cases there are in that squad.

I've just seen it myself on SL Fulltime and I'd say you've described the incident spot on. Clearly Elima wasn't expecting the punch as his head snapped right back. Quite a punch too. Didn't want to miss.
McIlorum deserved the red. There wasn't even a case for provocation since he'd been the one hanging on to Elima's throat, thus provoking Elima if anything.
Success is not final; failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. (Winston Churchill)

Actually if you look really closely you can see that Elima cuts McIlorum's head off with a chainsaw just before he swings the punch.

It was all Elima's fault as he had installed an electro magnet in his neck, which he used to draw MM arm to his neck ........ Wigan fans fill in the rest of the excuse and made up story ......
Always good for a tall tale.

Let's face it, this is just indicative of the way Wane wants his players to play the game. He's already come out in the press basically saying that he's given his players free rein to assault opposition players if they feel that Sam Tomkins is being tackled unfairly, instead of placing trust in the match officials (n.b. if they feel, not whether an actual offence has been committed). If that's his attitude in the media then lord knows what he actually says behind closed doors.

Well, he's got quite a team spirit going on and he has got them to the top of the league,so I'll not criticise him too much, but some of the posts on here along the lines of "Well, Elima elbowed him 3 times in the face, so its no wonder he retaliated." are farcical. There was a bit of pushing and shoving because Elima was being prevented from playing the ball, that's it.
