I would be very surprised if we dont give Laithwaite a new contract he is highly rated at Warrington. After Liam Watts walking out on you i would only assume Laithwaite is just a temporary replacement with both clubs gaining from the deal
Liam Watts walking out on us............LOL that made me chuckle.
He asked for a release as he wasn't getting any game time, We happily agreed best move for both parties.

Ben Currie is the next big thing though isn't he? If for Laithwaite staying at Warrington actually means a return to Leigh the prospect of playing a decent number of SL games might appeal. Just a possibility, like. Can you imagine him in your 17 much next year?
Laithwaite is a 13 and is someone i expect will get some first team game time at some point. I think it all comes down to whether or not we sign John Bateman if we do then i would expect Laithwaite will move on. As for the Liam Watts walking out reply, why didnt Watts play enough? he always struck me as a very good player and probably one of your best forwards. But then again i dont watch Hull KR every week.

He is a massive talent but I think the heart and the required desire needed to reach his potential is lacking. He may well reach his potential at Hull. If he does they have signed a cracking young player.

How much did you get ?
Undisclosed, can't see it having been much - but from our POV he's the past.
James Laithwaite may or may not be one for our future.

or just blooding him for wire like us with matty russle for wigan . Its a very good advert for the youth from both our clubs that we have to get other teams youngster , fair enough if you do get him on your books full time , thats a total different sittuation

I agree with PJ, if its just a loan i would much rather give our youngsters a shot ad some experience of what top flight is like rather then blooding someone elses younster for them. If our youngsters dnt work then ok but give them a shot 1st. If on the other hand we are looking at taking him on full time then great- but for that to happen it means he needs to have some good SL games for us and hes OOC so plenty of others will start sniffing around.
