Spot on mate, it was fantastic, the staff, the reds game v London on the screens, the food, the beer (and it's price, City Red Ale, lovely stuff!) and the Shuttle, it's the best pre-match for a home game I've had for a while!

As someone who rarely goes to the Trafford Centre, and has only been by car, what's the best way to get to the TC/Chill Factore from Mcr City Centre by public transport?

I tend to get 250 or the X (something, I forget the actual number!) from Picadilly to the TC and then walk over. Only takes 5 mins of so to walk down.

Think it's the X50 which is a limited stop between Manchester and the Traff Ctr. They run from Piccadilly. You can catch the number 100 bus from Shudehill. Theres obviously also the metro link, oh wait a minute, mega rich property developments get the green light without the need for any proper public transport infrastructure.

I also recommend the Red City Ale. Was in there early afternoon and tries from previous games was being shown on the tv.

Gave this a try pre match yesterday. Was decent. Big sign on the bar advertising the match and bus times was good to see and seemed to create a bit of interest. Bit dearer than a normal wetherspoons but the city reds ale was only £1.10 a pint and could get Carlsberg for £1.99 as well.

20% off food with a match ticket or club colours and they are showing a re run of Salford vs Catalan on the tv screens pre match tomorrow. Shuttle bus runs from there to the ground. Decent option for pre match drinks.

There is pub in the Chill Factor building called Castles in the Air.
The shuttle bus picks up from there before games.

Wetherspoons pub called Castle in the Air near the Chill Factore. Red City Ale (Moorhouse) £1.10 a pint.
