yes bdh its the image rights not the name of itself, our current bulls logo is a look alike for the Chicago bulls, but there are plenty of other bulls teams in the US etc that have logos nothing at all like the chicago eg University of Florida Bulls, New York Red Bulls.

Re imaging may be cheaper than buying the old image rights off Guilfoyle, hes not going to give them away

IIRC from shortly after the name changed to Bulls, CC said, in and interview in the T&A that the logo was used with permission from the chicago Bulls (I'm sure if it wasn't we'd have heard by now...) though I don't know if there was any money changing hands.

Feel sorry for those with a Bulls tattoo if it changes.

Given the club happily dropped it's identity in the recent past more fool them if they thought it was going to last forever.

I said on another thread - yes that is correct, and an annual fee is or was involved. That is one reason why the club has to be very careful who else is allowed to use the logo, and why there are restrictions on its use for commercial purposes by other parties as I understood it.

Now who did Peter Deakin work for before coming to Bradford? Oh Yes..............
The phrase politically correct is in itself politcally incorrect so should be rephrased politically stupid!

Hope this is not an implied or even light hearted criticism of PD. If ever we needed his like to turn up on our doorstep again it is now.
(Sorry if you think it is overreaction but the guy made us if not Super League as a whole).

I think you're ok, nothing `i've read here seems to imply critisim of PD, and having briefly worked for him at the Bulls during '97 I'd agree that he is above even the thought of critisim. How us and the sport could do with a few more like him now.
