What did everyone make of our favourite French referee tonight? I'm really worried about him and his continued involvement in Super League. A couple of years back he could be excused the odd eccentric moment, but it's getting beyond a joke now. The RFL seem to be marketing him as some form of clown-referee, a comical figure. His involvement in the fastest man race and the staged race with the mascot was a tad silly.

His performance tonight made the game farcical at times. He has no ability to control the game at all, I've never seen a top level sporting event look as farcical as that. At stages at the start of the second half the game resembled a training session where they weren't playing offsides. There were players running forward at the play the ball, players not bothering to even attempt to get square and play the balls with four markers and about three or four more clearly offside.

The incident with the injury was ridiculous as well. Hull KR pinned back in their half and winning the game narrowly. The Hull KR player was injured, but off the field. The trainer instructed him to put his foot over the line so the ref would have to hold up play and Alibert just let it happen. We then had a five minute rest for Hull KR effectively before they decided they would carry on. Totally out of his depth in Super League IMO.

The problem I have with him is his inability to allow a game to flow. I think he pinged us tonight for offside from a dropout, although his signals are so confusing It may have been something else. Akin to his Catalan home game performance he just penalised us out of the game from the half hour mark & over ruled the touch judge for their last try which given his position, or lack of, was ridiculous.

The injury incident was farcical, he didnt even leave the field of play in the end. His control of the ruck & speed of play the ball is pathetic, coupled with the fact he cant count to six, he's lucky there's noone else coming through a pretty weak system of he'd be out now. Cummins has alot to answer to, standards are alarmingly poor & lack any depty whatsoever.

Just before TP's match winner, he waved another six tackles to us. Then at the next play the ball he waved another six tackles to us. Huh? WTF?

Biggest cheer on the night was when he gave us a penalty for a HKR offside. He missed 2 knock ons, Wello being Wello was not to happy either on a couple of incidents.
Good job we didn,t have a TV screen at the ground, his decisions would have made us even more incensed.

I'm sure he was going to the video ref at one point before realising there wasn't one.

From a bias point of view, he did seem to be more lenient on HKR,s offside. Didn,t seem to be at "the races" sometimes.

Yes, I noticed that too, he put his arms in the air and seemed to realise just before he did the square. I cringed.

He wasn't to be fair to him. He was about to give the try then realised neither touch judge would have given it. So he went to speak to them, then theatrically gave the try.

So he correctly signalled the zero tackle then? The first one is to indicate back to one. The second is to indicate that the count is 1 due to the zero tackle and not 2.
