Serious question regarding Belle Vue (to try and get the thread back on track) - Are the B.O.I attempting to sell the ground for housing and if they do what is WTW plan for a ground if NM isn't operational in time ?

BV can not be flattened until a suitable replacement is built.Failing that we will come to GH.

AFAIK BOI own the land, which has had planning permission for housing for some time. The club own the buildings etc. on the land and anyone wanting to use the land would have to provide a suitable alternative pitch for WT.

As you probably realise, building houses is not exactly booming at the moment and with this extra complication BOI are as well collecting the rent and waiting till we vacate the plot.

I believe our current lease runs out shortly, but we are in negotiation to extend for up to 5 years (which should give your conspiracy theorists plenty of material to keep them distracted). The rent and running repairs/improvements to BV are not cheap. Which is why, relatively,NM will be quite a good deal.

I thought the information was that it cannot be flattened until new land is found? From what I recall it never said anything about a new 'stadium' being built. I'm sure Alf will correct me on this because I believe it was him that found it?

I think you're right, and if building land was at a premium then it may even be an issue, but it isn't, so it isn't.
