Just on my way to work but wanted to say a big thank you to all the hard work put in by members of the supporters trust and the club and also to all the player who attended to make this a great evening on the Halifax RL calender. A special thank you to Luke Ambler for being brave enough to put himself forward to be the MC for the evening, he did a fantastic job and the lad deserves a lot of credit. I have no idea how much was raised but it must have been 2k for the u23`s and u18`s, with a big thanks to the generosity of Tony Abbott and all other auction bidders.

Sorry if i missed anybody but i really enjoyed myself.

I think the figure from the auction and raffle was around £2700, was a fantastic night, shame the weathers been so poor this year as would have been nice if we'd have been able to sit out with the BBQ ect but thats trivial really

You did miss someone out , probably THE most important component and that is yourself and the rest of the people who bought a ticket/table to attend and who gave up their time and money to make it successful. It doesn`t matter how hard everyone works to put on any event ( and they did) it is only as successful as the people who support it, make it.
I too would like to add my thanks to the players especially Luke Ambler who volunteered to MC the night and to the rest of my collegues on the Supporters Trust who continually organise events throughout the year and collect at matches in support of the Under 23s .But if Fax fans, like the ones who walked to Keighley , the people who still commit to the pledge every match , attend the quiz at the Ivy every month and come along to the ex players nights did not support. We would have not raised £25,000 for the Under 23s last year and hopefully at the next home match would not be handing over our 3rd cheque of £5,000 making a total of £15,000 this season.
I think in this economic climate the Fax fans are nothing short of Faxtastic for all the effort, time and money they put in. Please if you walked or sponsored a walker could you please see your "much apreciated" donation is handed in so we can hand over the next cheque to the Club.Maureen will be traveling on the bus to the Sheffield match so you can catch her there thanks again to all involved and heres to the next event.
YOU CAN LEARN FROM THE PAST BUT NOT RELIVE IT.YOU CAN HOPE FOR THE FUTURE BUT CAN NEVER BE SURE THERE WILL BE ONE.
