I was at that game. It was a Thursday night. Gary Prohm was immense that night. I also remember speaking to Zook Ema a day or so after the game . He said he spent the first few minutes of the game laughing to himself about a comment Watky made to Mal Meninga in a tackle and Meninga was really poor after that conversation.

yes he was when you think me and every person around us were shouting get him of because he was taking a right battering how wrong were we he won us the game it was a c cup match was it not
JOHN THE REDBOY I have been a rovers fan all my life and my grandkids are as well we all hate hull

A re arranged CC game as the first match was called off due to fog. Kick off was delayed that night due to congestion on M62. Can't remember score but it was low scoring and our first win at Knowsley Rd for over 50 years

St Helens 3-8 Hull KR - Thursday Feb 21st,1985 att 9,292.

3-2 at HT and it stayed that way until about the 70th minute when Gary Clarke got in at the corner.

Gutted with that defeat as us Saints fans fancied Wembley that year with Meninga playing for us.We played him at 6 that night which back-fired as your forwards targeted him all night.
So only you know you have the secret?

Regardless of arriving late, the first 20 odd minutes was an embarrassing spectacle. How much you can blame for the M62 coach issue is unknown, esp as we have form this season for starting games very poorly. But one thing's for sure, the bus didn't miss tackles and make Latus drop the ball etc. We barely put a finger on any Saints player and just sat off them and Saints picked us off. Sadly our comeback was too early this week. By the end we certainly looked the more tired side once Saints got some field position. Close yet so far. Top effort all things considering.
Paea/Murrell had a great impact when they came on. Clinton was vee poor.

Langtree Park, looks/feels very much unfinished.

That's exactly the impression I've had whenever it's been on TV.
Did you get rid of all the voices in your head? Do you now miss them and the things that they said?

Is there any news on the injuries picked up in this game because it sounded a lot of players where in the wars.

Galea is out for a month with a hamstring injury

Blake Green took a knock (ribs?) he didn't train yesterday

Dave Hodgson could be back on Sunday.

Balls.

Young Mr Laithwaite straight in for Galea, Hodgy back on the wing to free up Hally to play 6 if Blake doesn't come through?
