So Brentford, under their cash-splashing new owner, have bought a piece of land in Lionel Rd, Kew. This is where they previously tried to develop a stadium with Barrett Homes before the developers pulled out because it wasn't big enough for a 20,000 seater with houses alongside. Now it seems they're aiming for a 15,000 seater and some houses.

15,000 is exactly what Hughes and McKay say they're aiming to build too, isn't it?

The only way it will ever work with a football club is one in the lower leagues who may be willing to have installed the same pitch as Widnes Vikings use, which by the way after the early problems seems to have settled down and been accepted, then no problem and it can be used every day of the year!

I should say it's not actually in Kew, but next to Kew Bridge station.

Its Brentford, Hounslow as much as the residents around there wish you to think they live in Kew or Chiswick lol

Applied to Brentford's old pitch but not necessarily to a newly-installed one. Wigan don't seem to have any serious problems except for Premiership football regulations and Dave Whelan's ego.

But we'd have to be proper partners, not tenants, to make anything like this work.

I hate us being tenants anywhere but I don't rust football clubs. They shaft you at every opportunity and must be the the most self centred sporting clubs there are. Pity we cant get a share for our own security.

London Welsh have a binding contract to play at Oxford if they are in the Premiership. At least that is what the local media have been saying in Oxford for some weeks
