wouldnt be sad to see gilmour leave now, started well this season playing at prop-yes prop! but gone backwards again just like last season and struggles to take a tackle without knocking on...all too often gets smashed and takes and age to get back up with hands on his hips.

had a great career though.

Rather like Luke O Donnell then, although in all fairness Gilmour has played a fair few games more than your big name NRL superstar.

With all due respect, he's been linked about a month/month and a half.

So what is the low down on Gilmours current fitness, speed etc etc?

I keep looking at his age of 34 and thinking, we've signed yet another player in the twilight of their career with their best years behind them. I hope I'm wrong...
The saying 'bent as a 9 bob note' has now been dropped.....corrected phrase is 'bent as the RFL!'

It's been old news for about 6 weeks now. Even Dave "Nosey" Parker saw fit to report this in the Sun a few weeks ago

IMO its worth taking a risk on a "older player" is he's out of the Solomona/Menzies/Ali mould, other than that its a massive risk, he will bring a a quallity to the team no doubt but be warned he's a total pro and won't like anyone who's not.
Lets start a forum just for Wakey fans, we can all back slap each other and not have anyone to tell us any different, i want to be the club puppy and make myself look stupid time and time again.

I hope he can have at least another good year or so, nothing wrong in getting a seasoned pro or ex-International in for a year in theory, Menzies being a great example.

However, this is Cas after all so for every Guttenbiel there is at least one Newlove...
Waiting for the next Brendan Hlad.
