Murphy will play his first game for Wigan's first team tomorrow. Sam likely to be rested
"Games as big as a grand finals define individuals and clubs. Remember we are only renting these shirts, I had my time in Pat Richards shirt. Ellery and Faz had there time in Sean's, Hampo and Radders in Sam's. You have to make a mark in these shirts that's still there the day you hand it over to someone else. So be aware for 80 minutes you are not only playing but also writing history and creating a legacy. How many people get to actually write history, not many. A big stage demands big players, be inspired. You play for Wigan, now go do it. Good luck." - Martin Offiah, 2010.

Suits me. Sam was bandaged in the second half against Widnes. Rest him and give a young un a bash. As my Nana used to say "It th' only way they'll learn"

Can't really watch the junior teams due to work. What are people’s opinions on him? Any good?

Would also be good if people could mention some other youngster who we might see soon?

Good luck to the lad. I dont know a great deal about him but it's always nice to see a youngster get a chance.

The players yet to play first team I hear great things about are obviously Williams and Hampshire and this winger Burgess seems to be making a real impact. I read on the website he's 6ft 4 and he's meant to be rapid which sounds a very promising mix.

I dont follow the academy lads as such but listen to what those in the know say about them. Where does Jack Murphy come in the pecking order in relation to Russell. Russell looks a real talent from what ive seen of him if a little raw

Can anyone find out his body fat % ?
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery.......

I will look to the moment, and miraculously, the future will take care of itself.

I heard Wigan have been training him to play from FB like Sam does and he has been starting full back each time ive been the 20s lately, and played there for the 9s.

Hopefully he will have a good game in a back line of Charnley, Gelling & Murphy.
