Just how many half backs are Wigan signing next year?

At least 6. Not only have they found a way to exceed the salary cap, they have also found a way around just having 13 players on the pitch. Expect to see 16 Cherry and White's at any one time next season.
I can't believe the news today.

Give Leeds the 16 selected by McDermott instead and we'd still lose......

Call me a pessimist, but with no decent new signings, a lack of apparent interest in bringing Amor back to the club and the continued non selection of the likes of Singleton, Hood, D.Smith, Keinhorst, Chisholm, Roche etc in favour of the same sad old faces (geez we're now even seeing the return of more than proven failed newly appointed water carriers into the threequarter options  ).....then I see nowt but bad times ahead. Can see more decent young kids and Burrow moving on to other clubs whilst 'dad's army' continues to creak and groan towards a sad debilitating moribund decline into SL whipping boys status. :(

You are a pessimist but some of your points are correct. At least when B McD was interviewed about interest in Moltzen he said "his name is on a list along with other names..." so something is happening albeit very slowly! My concern is statements are made by GH about quality signings but we always leave it so late that we could end up with a Ben Cross level signing.

With Centre maybe being one of our priorities for next season would we have been interested in Turner?

Not much of an upgrade on Ablett, IMO.

given we have 4 of the top players in the league in the other 5 outside back positions, all of whom are young (Hardaker, Jones-Bishop, Watkins, Hall), LC is the position we should be looking to make a quality signing.

Step forward quality left centre, scorer of 21 SL trys last year, and 19 so far this year, and Leeds boy.

Mr Ryan Atkins, currently of the Warrington parish.

Atkins' nickname was also mentioned by a Warrington team-mate on Sky last week ..... not that it was ever a secret.
