I have always supported the current regime and will continue to do so.
What i am concerned about is the possiblity of being pushed around by the Rovers. I am not interested in the so called 'Doncaster Rovers Brand' in any shape or form. Doncaster Rovers will only do anything that is for benefit of Doncaster Rovers. Shared costs and suppliers is ok by me but i really dislike the term 'brand'. We are not a brand, we are a small Rugby League club.

2 years ago we were struggling to even have a team.

The current team have done excellent making us credible in nearly all aspects.

I am sure that Carl and the board will do what's best for all, as these guys are no fools.

Any sports team is a business - and if not run as such it hits the walls.

Bradford is a key example.

I for one don't much care what colour the away kit is as it has been all colours (including red and white). I support Barnsley FC and have no issue with Rovers and I see plenty of Rovers fans at our games each week, so perhaps not alienating these guys maybe wise?

I want to praise the board again for their efforts and the team for their resulTs, I am enjoying this season more than any for a long time.

Yes this is a fans forum and so on etc etc, but let's wait to see what happens and give credit to our management team.

As always this is just my opinion.
There's no I in team......but there is a me!

To amplify and clarify the club’s statement published by DonsNews earlier this week, the club's management confirm:

Firstly, as stated in our original news item, the Dons fully support the benefits of a ‘Doncaster’ brand and will play its part in conjunction with others to promote sport in the community and our town.

Secondly, with regards to the kit. The club had already been exploring, with our kit manufacturer, designs for the 2013 season away strip. The alternatives at present are based upon a red and white colour theme.

As these are developed it is likely, as we did for this season’s away strip, the club will take soundings from those who are interested by displaying a range of designs at the presentation night at the season end. After which the preferred design will be put to the RFL for formal approval.

The Rovers hooped red and white strip design has never been one of the alternatives considered, anyway Wigan got their first!

Well this is indeed progress.

So unless I am mistaken the Free Press are wrong in thinking we will play in red and white hoops.
I, and I believe most others, have no objection whatsoever if the Dons want to play in red and white to fit in with the Rovers colour scheme.
That's half of the problem gone away at a stroke.

And further more if the brand is the 'Doncaster brand' then the matter is closed.
Which would also mean that the Free Press are wrong again in calling it the 'Doncaster Rovers brand'.

I do hope this is the case and perhaps DonsNews could confirm this.

Thank you DonsNews for your post.

I for one feel a lot happier as a result. :thumb:

Let's get back to what matters ... rugby league, our fine side and our promotion to the higher flight.

Thanks for the update from the club. As previously stated this looks like crap reporting from the DFP. Still not keen on red and white but as long as it's not a Rovers look alike kit i can live with it.

I was willing to give the DFP benefit of the doubt on all issues, as long as they kept putting the highlights up, first home game I miss and they're not there!!!

I'm sorry, I can't resist, but I can't help noting the lack of posts on here regarding further stuff from the Free Press this week.
I have nothing extra to say.
I think the matter is resolved for now.
A storm in a teacup perhaps?
We will see what transpires.
But like an elephant, I have a long memory. I just wish my trunk was as long.

The date on the Free Press is usually accurate. Thats about it for the papers believable bits. I would'nt trust any journalist of the particular newsgoup that run the Free Press, The Star and Yorkshire Post if hell had me.

It was a piece entitled 'Hall together now'.
It laid out Carl's take on all of this Rovers thing.
There was nothing contentious or new about it.
Next week there be the full Carl Hall interview available to listen to on their site.

Above that was a piece entitled 'Injury blow to Tom's thumb'.
Jemmo would have been proud.
