Where's a good shop to buy quality cheese these days. We're fed up with the plastic stuff from supermarkets.

What's the place in the market like?

We bought some quality cheese in Oxford Market and it's spurred us into action to seek out a similar shop in Huddersfield.

If you can wait: http://www.htcpl.org.uk/foodanddrinkfestival/

Huddersfield Food and Drink festival will have some very nice stuff. Also I've found the Cheese counter at Morrisons is pretty good if you know what you want, don't be afraid to ask for a taste.

Hi Ivor, I always buy mine from the farm shop on way to Flockton from the M1 Cedar Court junction, great choice and tons better than the mass production supermarket rubbish. Try your local farm shop mate.

Hinchcliffes is very pricey and limited in its selection

The place in the market is perfectly fine IMO (as a cheese fan)
Cook and Bakeware in the town centre has a decent deli counter too

The one I go to is called Blacker Hall Farm shop, very good mate and although expensive I can normally tell the difference in quality, seem to have a reasonably good and varied selection of Cheese too.
