I have a feeling it will be Sinfield or Lockers but I'd put my money on the Leeds man since he has more big game experience and a more consistent run in the England side of late.

IMO Graham is too much of a hothead and, whilst I think Sam is a great player, he's not mature enough for the role. Another name nobody has mentioned so far is Roby. Good player and currently the first choice hooker for England. There's also Wilkin who seems to get picked despite not being in form or even of international standard, IMO. He's a bright guy who comes out well on camera and is clearly able to get his ideas across.

But, what do I know? I'm applying logic to the process, something MacNamara seems to shy away from.

IMO it should be someone based in the UK (for the training camps/mid-season game(s) etc) and someone who will be playing in next years WC. That should only leave Lockers, Ellis and Roby as candidates, maybe Sam but I don't think he needs any extra burden on him. If we are going in to next year's WC with a 33 year Kevin Sinfield as our starting stand off then we are in trouble. If he's given the captaincy then this suggests to me that is what McNamara is thinking.

James Graham the way he is playing at the moment. Even the Bulldogs fans want him captain, which would be astonishing considering he is a pom.

I still think we need someone based in the UK, though. There's a lot more to captaincy than just the on-field stuff.

What has Sinfield ever done that could suggest he's leadership material?

Yeah I know Leeds are Super League and World Club Champions blah blah but he just rides on the back of having the best team, anyone would look like a good captain with Leeds squad behind him.

Thats like saying saying what has Sam Tomkins ever done to suggest he is a good player?

Yeah I know scores lots of tries and runs rings round defences blah blah but he is playing in SL, he just rides on the back of a good Wigan pack and any fullback could do that!

Would leeds have won 5 Grand Finals including 3 in a row with Ryan Bailey as captain? I think not!!

If you read some of Sally Cinnamons previous posts you'd realise that his tongue is firmly lodged in his cheek alot of the time.

Are people being serious about James Graham being captain. He is the biggest dummy-spitting cry baby I've ever seen on a rugby pitch.
