When you would really prefer most of all that it was in Harrogate...
I remember your holiday story. I went to an event in Huddersfield a few years back. A person, whose surname we shall pretend was Bailey, & is a senior director of a national engineering contractor with a similar name, preceded with a G&N but not necessarily in that order, who have their palacious offices in Ilkley, was a guest speaker. When someone asked him where they were based he said 'Just outside Harroagte'. Alledgedly.

Geographically I don't have a problem with that, much depends on your perspective. If you were Australian, for instance, it wouldn't be pushing it to regard it as a suburb of London.

Bradford is not a City where it's professional sports teams are as important within the community generally in the same way that they are in other places. The demographics of the City is one factor in this.
Certainly, the success or very existence of the Bulls means a hell of a lot to it's supporters but there are swathes of apathetic Bradfordians who have only ever had a slight curiosity, if any at all. Rugby League itself is not a part of the culture of Bradford to the degree it is in other areas.
There is the traditional stronghold to the south of the City but in BD3, 8, 9, and to a lesser extent BD2, 10 and a fair amount of BD7, I do think the level of support for the professional RL team in Bradford is not especially strong. That is a large chunk of the City.
