The Vinnie Anderson to Cas rumour is a new one to me but I would be very excited if this is true. He has the experience to help Cas where the inexperience of Holmes and Thompson has worked against us. Alos, if we sign Gilmour it would also provide cover for Webster and Shenton so we can leave JT to develop into a quality back rower.

Would be happy with gilmour adds bags of experience to pass on to the young lads and still has plenty left in the tank.

wouldnt be sad to see gilmour leave now, started well this season playing at prop-yes prop! but gone backwards again just like last season and struggles to take a tackle without knocking on...all too often gets smashed and takes and age to get back up with hands on his hips.

had a great career though.

Although Gilmour doesn't have age on his side, he does bring the experience and a winning mentality which he can pass on to our younger players. He obviously knows Basil well and will be used to how he works, so if he can stay fit, he could be a shrewd signing.

We now need to sign a back rower who can bust the line, a Willie Manu type player

Anderson and Gilmour were excellent players but are both way past IMO. However, a few people said that about Lauititi before we signed him and he's been exceptional. Only time will tell.

Weren't you going to extend Morrisons contract before his injury? How old would he have been ?
