I agree, you should have had to play at least 1 game in SL that season to compete!

If they had a "running backwards" race he would have won easy. Ever noticed him warming up at matches? he is as fast in reverse as forwards!!

That's a French thing, born out of panzers coming through the Ardennes !!

Ah van? You must be joking right. I can think of props in superleague that are quicker.

No coincidence since the arrival of Tomkins you've won trophies, before then you were getting beat by "awful" teams like rovers every week with no Tomkins? ONE MAN TEAM

First thing, Tomkins didn't arrive, he was brought through, maybe other teams should try this.
Secondly I dare you to say that to Lockers, Farrell, Hansen, Mossop, McIlorum and the rest of the team.

Foster? You do realise they run the race with the ball?

Why not do all the divisions too?

A props race would be fun.

There were players from across the divisions competing on Tuesday evening - its just that the fact seems to have been ignored for some reason on this thread. Gareth Potts of Batley actually finished in third place.

I thought it was fastest man in super league. Not fastest man in the Valvoline cup. Apart from Broughton they were all under 20 players. We need a proper one. From the super league clubs I would like to see the following go toe to toe.
Charnley - Wigan
Riley/Monaghan - Wire
Foster - Saints
George - Huddersfield
Blanch - Catalan
Briscoe - Hull Fc
Jones-Bishop - Leeds
Fox - Wakey
Ah Van - Widnes
Owen - Cas
Hodgson -Hull Kr
Dixon -London
Broughton - Salford
Kear - Bradford

Feel free to edit any of the players. However I feel this would be a truer fastest man comp.

Monaghan?? Im quicker than him over 100m if I let him start and had a brew first.. Atkins is quick but im sure Evans is quicker. If Briscoes the fastest man at hull then they've got problems, I rate Briscoe as a player but he lacks true pace

Fastest players at Hull apparently are Jack Briscoe and Tom Lineham.

Tom is absolutely rapid. He ran this race for York a few years back and came 2nd to Jamal Chisolm.

They don't run with a ball anymore either.
