Indeed, but if we are talking about Jonny Foreigner, for some London will have more of an allure than Liverpool / Manchester / Cheshire

Embarrassing. We had to put up with stuff like this when he managed us.

A puff piece about the new England manager. There's never been one of those before.

99% of people would have read that and dismissed it as being the puff piece it is.

Bitter scousers like you won't though. Just like you only saw the bad of the England games in Euro 2012, just like Schevchenko getting a goal is a reason to bash Michael Owen, a puff piece about Hodgson is something to link to and mock.

You are the embarrassing one.

You clearly have more faith in the 99% of people that will read that than I do, most of them are daft Roy-loving barstewards like yourself.

Only saw the bad? I saw the strength in defence, I saw Gerrard's crossing, I seen the ability to dig in and keep the opposition out, but it was far outweighed with the sh*te defended by cretins like Winter.

Owen is a c*nt, if I want to slag him off I'll do so with great happiness. The comparison to Schevchenko [sic] was a fair one, they were both great strikers, but only one has kept his career going.

Me embarrassing? This is coming from the sad tw*t that says things like "your mum" and relentlessly slags off scousers at every given opportunity. How many times have you been banned on here again?

Any chance we can let this Hodgson thing go now? Liverpool fans are united in their dislike of him, the rest of us are not. Nothing is going to change that so let's not waste energy debating it further. Sorted.

Good game tonight. Harsh on Portugal, they defended well but also tried their best to face up to the Spanish, something very few sides will attempt.

Spanish are crying out for David Villa. Del Bosque has got to start with one of the more direct players IMO.

Yet another non-game with Spain involved. Can we ban them yet?

Indeed.

Thats why the only manager interested in one of the biggest clubs in the world was some ex championship manager who steared his current club to the dizzy heights of mid table

How spooky was that penalty shoot-out?
You could have substituted Portugal with England.
Losing the toss.
Sides that go first are at an advantage.
Having an early advantage (ie a missed penalty) that was then squandered.
Hitting the bar.
Having a cheeky dink right down the centre of the goal against you.

So it's not just us.
War does not determine who is right - only who is left.

That chart someone posted of Liverpool fans' bullishness could easily be substituted for far too many England fans' views of how 'good' England are. England have been dreadful for almost my entire life.
