I am looking to get in touch with Kay Ibbetson, born circa. 1929, or surviving relatives.
Kay was Secretary of East Hull RFC, and was the first female appointed to the Amateur Rugby League Council. She also ran a clerical agency and was a staunch Hull KR supporter. She was a keen advocate of youth RL, setting up two teams.
If anyone knows her or her relatives and can put me in touch with them, I would be very grateful. Please send me a message.
Thanks.

rover49 will be your best bet, he's a similar age.
'Time has come to air the voice of reason, in a world gone mad, adrift on banal seas, for all who feel that lies have had their season and whose hearts cry out instead for honesty. For all the weary souls grown bored with dreaming, this thirst for beauty and for knowledge goes unslacked. For all who want to wake from what is dreaming to know what's real and what is real to embrace. For all who've watched with mounting horror, evil's rein upon this world grow ever clear, for all who've prayed in vain, emancipators, wielding swords of truth and laughing without fear...naaaaaaa'
Thanks very much for your help and best wishes. I hope I can track her/her relatives down. She was one important woman!

Tomorrow afternoon, some time between 17:45 and 18:00, I will be live on BBC Radio Humberside with Adam Wild, discussing the special Hull lady that is Kay Ibbetson. Kay's involvement with RL is fascinating, and anyone with an interest in RL history is encouraged to listen in!
