If you trawl through the Gutters pieces on here over the last few years you could have his ideas for free, but the club haven't even got the wit for that!

Alas, it's not the "wit" that's missing.....it's "the get up and go"

Clever Marketing campaigns (I have worked on some Jaybs.....both in the UK and on 2 award winners over here as well) are great.....using multi-channel marketing, clever secondary response techniques......loyalty schemes that look like reward schemes....things like the Old Spice Guy (google it/you tube it...I'm on a horse) campaign......it cost a fraction of a % of their marketing budget to launch and run, yet captured over 10% of its target market......and 10% of the USA body wash market captured for about 300k is a RESULT!

....they are great and P&G or compare the meerkat et al can afford the luxury of being ably to trial and error.

London Broncos RL needs none of this......it needs a return to basics, hard work, rolled up sleeves, volunteer groups leafletting.....hard negotiations with the press etc.....

...as it is, we've had oyster card holders but still no flowers on a roundabout

Leaflet drops are a no brainer to locals and this has always worked if the leaflet provides a discount and data capture to follow up the offer. I'm doing something like this over the next few weekends to increase the playing numbers at a local rugby club and we know from the past we'll attract 50-75 new members which for a small club is brilliant.

Broncos, as GF says need to go back to basics and graft, however, the product is so poor that you should not market it until performances improve.

Just seen the highlights for this game.

Was it an experiment? Sarginson at 1, Dorn at 6, Howell at right centre, Lovell at left centre. That might have been OK except for the fact that a large number of players then seemed to switcheroo - Bailey defended right and left, Lovell left, right and centre. What an organisational shambles! How can defensive structures/partnerships be built on a system that resembles musical chairs?

Clueless.

All this after Powell babbled on about 'consistency' midweek. What a complete buffoon.

Careful this thread could actually drift back to the game rather than marketing

that was the idea. If I locked all the threads that drifted off to that topic I'd have nothing left to moderate.

Could we have a marketing sticky?

Another performance where we flatter to deceive. Their try before half time looked as if two forward passes were missed. Changes the psychy at half time. Did we do so much tackling in the first half that we ran out of steam in the last 20?

48 missed tackles Clarky stated today on BnA- Worst % in any game over the weekend-Awful

The other stat we led on was number of tries conceded on the 5th play over the season.

The Public have spoken...I will ease off in the Marketing stuff.......and all the problems off the park will magically vanish.

"Huddlesfield" was always going to be a loss.....2003 was the last time we got anything up there. Leeds is the only team that Powell has a winning record againts....he is 2 wins from 3 played as head coach......will it be the problems up the middle or the ones out wide he mentions to the BBC when discussing the hammering that will be dished out this weekend coming?
