Spoken with Sammut and Donaldson tonight, they both were dejected and gutted but both said 'have to get on with it and hope for the best'.

In Sammuts words 'it's a bad situation to be in, I've been it before and it's naughty person, just got to dig in for the team and hope for best'

The players have a meeting tomorrow to discuss what they want to do to help the club.

Had plans for Friday night that could not possibly be changed.

I've had a rethink

After following the Bulls from before their last reformation I NEED to be at Wigan
To support the team in their hour of need and to maybe see the last match we ever play.

Hope the people I will let down on Friday night will understand, but I doubt it.
They can't possibly appreciate the essence of belonging that the Bulls engender

lower the salary cap, better financial governance

Absolutely bang on correct - British RL needs both of these measures now desperately. Most SL clubs need to be saved from themselves while there is still a league left unfortunately.

mergers of clubs in the same area.

Never, never, never, never, NEVER! They tried it 15 years ago and failed disastrously. How many current Wakefield fans would go see a Pontefract United playing at Cas' new ground every week do you think? How many Hull KR speccies would go to the KC as home fans? Create the "Mersey Mudsharks" at LP by merging Saints and Widnes and I'd never watch an RL game again, I can tell you that much for an incontrovertible fact... All that mergers would achieve would be to reduce the fanbase of some clubs while killing off others completely.

Totally agree adeybull. I can only think of three clubs in the whole of the RL making a profit & Workington are one of those.

The game is in a dreadful financial state. There will be more insolvencies AND most likely within weeks. RFL need to act now and produce a blueprint for all to follow and that includes SL clubs to make a net profit - no matter their gate income and overheads. The Sky money is X and all expenses are a percentage of X. Overseas players down to 2 max per club etc etc. Simples.

Its really sad to see Bradford in this position and I hope that new buyers can quickly come in and rescue the club.

Like Adeybulls comment and your own, the Bradford situation should not be seen in isolation from the game as a whole. Regardless of the individual financial management of Bradford, several other clubs are also in a difficult and challenging financial position.

Last year Wakefield and Leigh nearly went out of business. How many more clubs will face the prospect of administration in the next few years?

It simpy can't go on like this and urgent action is needed from across the game as a whole.

Redundancies will certainly follow but I;d be surprised to see the club allowed to walk on large amounts of tax. What I suspect investors are saying is "If I pay the bill I want to choose the menu".

The accepted wisdom seems to have been that potential investors have been waiting for Administration to clear the decks, particularly of the tax debts. But we've just seem HMRC veto Rangers route out of Administration. That seemed a statement of intent as much as anything. I cant see them undermining that approach with Bradford.

Also just seen the T&A quoting the Administrator's reference to "Potential VAT liability season tickets for 2010 and 2011 - £200,000" That sort of potential liability will not help to attract investors.

Difference being Rangers owe tens of millions of pounds. They won't let Rangers go easily. We're small change to HMRC in real terms - although they are wholly right in wanting what is owed to them.

I don't think you'll be the only Bulls fan changing their mind to travel.

Did anyone hear Martyn Sadler on 5live this morning? Very positive noises from him. He even said he was pretty sure he knew who was going to buy the club within the next ten days and had no doubt that the Bulls would fufil this season's fixtures and come back stronger next season.
I hope he actually does know something.

The T&A article today makes depressing reading.
Bryn begging BG to have permission to talk to other clubs. Stuff like that makes me feel sick. Someone sort this f***ing mess out. Please.
