Exactly, they say it's a family sport and there is no place for it, but It's also a full blooded, full contact, full passion sport. It's not exactly going to scare families away, I remember going as a small child watching the likes of Skerrett throwing punches, it was a exhilarating and made me a fan for life! (not that I wouldn't have been anyway) but I loved the punch ups!

Exactly. I used to look forward to the Skerrett and Nickle fisticuffs.

And they definitely let you off in 1970 with Hepworth.

No, it was the 'spirit' of the cap, never been heard of before, or since.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery.......

I will look to the moment, and miraculously, the future will take care of itself.

Leeds Cas wasn't a fight, it was high spirits.

I actually worry that we are trying to over sanitise the game. I am not one for reverting back to the good old bad old days of cheap shots left right and centre, but a dust up every now and again puts bums on seats.

The NRL as good as it is has lost the element of the odd flair up generally despite the very basis of its early Origin days being built on it.

The RFL dealing with the Wigan v Saints dust up like it did set a president by which they have to stand, and for me it is not a good one when every element of a physical games suddenly becomes analysed under the microscope.
Unofficially the most boring poster on Cherry and White.

I agree & think a large part of the RFL's reaction to Wigan Saints was due to the fake hysteria generated by the pair of pillocks who front Sky SL.
