The reason people THINK he did, is because they recall what they THOUGHT he said, not what he ACTUALLY said.
As I have said all along, he was smart enough to not actually promise anything, just to leave people thinking he had.
Or in other words leading us fans up the garden path ie. "that's what you think I said but it isn't actually what I did say .. but if you wanna belive it I'll leave you to it"
Maybe Huddersfield Giants should be renamed Huddersfield/SHEFFIELD Giants in honour of the team who saved them from going in to oblivion?!

I think most people know I am unlikely to feature on Caisley's Christmas card list. Even so, whilst I concur with what you have enclosed in quotes, he is not the first and will not be the last to do that. Go watch any politician! He never actually promised to deliver investment -I have been cautioning about this since his intervention. His wording, as always, was clever; but whatever else he may or may not be guilty of, in this matter he was not a liar.
I feel for the Loyal Bulls Fans who were willing to dig deep to rescue the Club, were they though told the truth of the crisis? Same were the RFL told the whole truth when they purchased Odsal? (lease)
It was Caisey who voted to kick out London! so I hold no respect for him and would not like to see him benefit from the current crisis!
Too long we have all buried our heads in the sand The Greatest Game! yes the one with no major sponsorship monies coming in? For far too long clubs have been too parochial! We are alright Jack, the whole game is in Crisis!
Knowing Chris Caisley & Peter Hood over a period of 22 years in various situations. i.e Supporters Club activities, Feeding the Players post match during Brian Smiths and Matt Elliott's reign I can categoricallly state that both these people have worked long and hard for Bradford Bulls and were both keen supporters,( Chris Caisley from a young age ) and both felt strongly about the club. They would never knowlingly do anything to jeopardise its existance. Being Chairman is a thankless unpaid job, and no one would do it lightly. It takes up a large amount of your private life and you are castigated with whatever decisions you take, by people who do not know the full story. Please lets move forward and hope our club can be saved... calling and bickering will not solve the problems. We also knew Trevor Foster who saved the Club previously, and we never heard him call anyone - his viewpoint was always positive. Come on you BULLS. P.S If Chris can't get us out of this then no one can.

Btw, Caisley did NOT lie.

If people care to remember Chris would have only rarely got the chance to 'lie', since as I remember, we didn't have things like forums back then, and as Adey rightly says Chris, a solicitor remember, a profession where the accurate use of words is important, is far too astute to be caught doing that in press interviews where the statements will be pretty much carefully crafted beforehand.
Incidentally, I do feel too many are throwing words like 'lie' around far too often. For certain we have been told many things were going to happen which subsequently didn't, but misjudgements, hopes and best guesses are not lies; a lie is a deliberate falsehood not a mistaken prognosis made in the belief that something was true.

I was on a train to Carlisle with Caisley once. Several times in fact. He didn't make them run on time but he didn't make them run late either. Something to bear in mind.

He's a solicitor and they exist to leach money from people, charging vast sums for doing feck all in many cases, like £30 a time to make a phone call or send a letter on your behalf. It's legalised robbery (if you pardon the pun).
I wouldn't call anyone in that profession a liar though as that will really get the tills ringing.
