That's nonsense, mate. Very few clubs own their ground these days but they don't sell season tickets for a pittance.

I may be wrong but arent most SL clubs owned by rich supporters?

No sympathy. Pay your taxes like the next business or person on the street why should they get away with it. Hope HMRC reject their proposal and demand the full amount they owe. If they can't pay then liquated and get rid.

The bit that suprises me is that people are shocked. Has the situation that Bradford are now in ever been any different in the 100 or so years for any club at one time or another? has it balls! The truth is sport mirrors the economy on many fronts but the biggest being Boom and Bust. We can blame who we want and Hurt when it happens. But life goes on and so will Bradford Bulls/Northern whatever they will be called. Next Year it will be someone else. In sport not many will make millions, but millions will experience the rollercoaster of success and failure. should it stop you watching it? NO. Will it stop some? YES.
They will be back though and so will Bradford!

It's not just the HMRC that will be out of pocket, what about those innocent suppliers who may be brought down as well.

RFL has to safeguard against this, oh, they already do it's called a Franshise!

Did anyone listen to BBC Leeds yesterday? Some Bradford fans do my head in. One guy said that dropping down to the Northern Ford was be a disaster! Oh course it would - Northern Ford doesn't bloody exist!

What a Joke! What is the point of a points reduction? What is that for a punishment?.

Absolutely. It might keep them out of the playoffs and the income that comes along with it at best but it's not a big enough penalty.

Whilst I dont want Bradford to disappear I hope that they end up in the Championship 1 and rebuild......No club is too big not to be in SL IMHO

In fact they'd make a good addition to our league with some good banter but with the lower leagues being restructured it's just not going to happen. I pees me off when I hear "SL is where we rightfully belong" coming from any club. No club has a right, it has to be earnt (more off the field than on these days).

True that about no club has a right to be in SL, look at football even the mighty Glasgow Rangers are at the mercy of their peers and it is not certain that when they all vote they will put Rangers back in the SPL, same goes for football clubs like Darlington who have been demoted down the leagues and even our very own FC Halifax Town who had to drop down 3 leagues to start again.
If Bradford have to start as a NewCo as they call it they SHOULD be put in our league at best but technically in Championship 1 but I think that would be too low down due to the size of their support.
On support it will be interseting to see what their crodws will be once they startg again and charge a proper entrance fee to stop them losing money? Its okay saying we get 11K every week but when they pay about half the going rate its technically only as good as 5500 full paying speccies.
Thing is Bradford have done this before back in 1964 yet WE have existed for 139 years and been on the verge but never gone completely bust and been liquidated have we?

I have insufficient information but I'll assume that's true.

But that doesn't mean they have assets. Huddersfield have a deficit running into millions. They are substantially owned by one of Ken Davy's companies.

Just picked that out as an example.

Thats the point I am making though. The majority of owners are involved with their clubs because they support them. Should no wealthy Bradford supporter come forward, then there is little hope because there are no assets for any potential investor.
