2) Do you reckon Widnes would still have had that success had they lived within their means like other clubs did and not signed players they ultimatly coudn't afford which nearly bankrupted the club and had to flog causing them to sink with out trace?
The cynical may suggest Widnes cheated their way to success.
Yes, I would think they are cynical. Because FINANCIAL INEPTITUDE is not cheating!
Rock 'n' Roll.
Have you noticed, you can never find a radical priest when you need one.
SORRY, I DO want Vikings to win. But as I was playing Iron Maiden 'the number of the beast' earlier, 66-6 ! But think Widnes will score more than 6....honest !

must admit i was quiet happy with a few aspects but penalty =try penalty=try penalty=try etc etc forward pass x2 and all that , impressed with joe mellor ,and hanbury tonight instages we had wigan on the back foot but we gifted wigan on a plate at least 40 and thought Rat Boy was poop tonight well done lads oh thought cross was possibly the best forward for us worked hard as does Ah van well done lads

He took a bad knock to the thigh early on and was limping throughout most of the game. Had to have it strapped up at half time and if we had an outside back on the bench I think they would have taken him off. Still better with one leg than any of the your 17 though
Abysmal.Betts can't get a performance from the players at his disposal, there can be no doubt about that now.He said we will be going to Wigan and giving it our very best shot and then his team produce that tripe.Speaks volumes to me that does.

Unlike wigan who ended up selling central park.

You seem suicidal because McNamara hasn't picked your precious Mickey Mac, who's better than Roby, and Darryl 'Meninga' Goulding who makes Jamie Lyon look like an amateur.

i think your being a bit harsh, if pickersgil hadn't played last night it would of been alot closer game. your online goal defence needs alot of work.

i was sat behind betts at the magic weeked and his whole body language spoke volumes.
it looked as though he doesn't have any respect of the players when we beat you (dont mean to rub this in by the way. as my wife is a widnes fan so i get to as many games as i can with her as long as they don't clash with warrington) he didn't acknowledge his own players going off the field no handshakes, pats on the back or commiserations anything like that. When you get beat by a big score you need the manager more than if you win and it looks like he just isn't there.
This was evident again last night when they showed the dressing room at half time he was wandering around aimlessly, just looked like he didn't have a clue. just no command.
PS Pickersgill is not a starting prop i wouldn't even say hes a starting backrow or a player for the bench. Unfortunately there is a reason why warrington let him go into the championship he is just not a superleague player.

Wigan could have won by how many points they wanted to last night no matter what 17 Widnes fielded.Pickersgill has been a penalty machine all season and that's something else Betts obviously cannot find a solution to,
