Having read it again I'm pretty sure it is 6 in total. Ellis and Arundel, plus two already signed (Crookes + Forward?) plus two big names that they are confident of getting but not confirmed (Paea + Half Back?).

That's what Smailes said to me earlier, he did say another 1/2 come be added to that too.

Yeah, but as they're in administration they need to find money from somewhere, and clubs like ourselves, Warrington, Leeds, etc, will be able to put in offers for their best players which will be unlikely to be turned down.

Especially if the administrators are making the decisions.

I'd cry if we signed Burrow to play in the halves.

It'll be a spoken interview and people tend to speak a little less precisely than they write. Context, intonation etc are stripped away when a journalist writes it up. Add the word 'all' to the first quote, as in 'obviously we can't announce who they all are at present' and it tallies. Not the only way of doing it, but one of the simplest.

Remember, with Watts and Pitts that is 8 new signings by Gentle inside his first season - near enough a third of the squad. As 8 of your top 25 earners have to be club trained, it's changing about half the squad that you're free to change (I know that isn't exactly right, but just for simplicity's sake).

That makes more sense actually. Cheers :thumb: .

Seriously though, could Soward actually be a real target?! Would be loving awesome.

He's admitted his agent is 'seeing whats out there' when aske about Wigan.

Still got a year to run on his St George deal but they may release him.

He might be just trying to push a nrl offer up, if he's getting $400,000 a year ($257,000) in the nrl he'll want a long (4 year) deal in sl.

Has he ever been in the Aussie squad? Just wondering if the Gentle link might help. He would be a huge signing. Also a class kicker which could replace Ticks if he goes. With the best kick ritual ever.

Signing players for next season is no good because Bulls need the cash now but any clubs willing to pay a fee will have virtually no cap space available.

How's this going to work?
