The employer would be in breach of the terms and conditions of the issued contract.
Technically a player would be entitled to leave without notice, registering with another SL club may be difficult if the club chose to make it so, unless the RFL concur with the player, usually they are somewhere in the middle which is a bit unhelpful.

I suspect there might well be circa 800k available in some form, but my guess would be these people are unwilling to make the cheque payable to HMRC. Rather wait until other people pick up that tab or its dealt with via admin and then invest.

Very downbeat. I think it might be more important who we're hearing from. The clubs silence is speaking volumes to me.
