The captain will need to be based in this country IMO as what's the point of having an Aussies based captain when they can't attend training camps or play in mid season games?

If it's Sinfield I'm pretty much through with the international game tbh. My choice would be Gareth Ellis with Tomkins as assistant (who'd captain the side in the next exiles game).

He'll probably give the captaincy to Sinfield for this one game whilst he figures out who to give it to on a permanent basis.

bradford look set to go bust no way will they find a million in ten days, so would we be happy with luke gale and a matty smith partnership? thats if finch does actually leave (looking less likely everyday :D ). Also i could see craig kopzack coming wigans way with the welsh connection and he fits the style.

i would be happy with the following signings,

rob burrow for micky when he gets tired
luke gale i think he has a very good running game and is very under rated player
matty smith just let him become an organiser and kicker
craig kopzack with stu and lima leaving.

so next year my sqaud would be

1. sam
2. charnley
3.goulding
4.gelling/thornley (i think thornley as he has played Centre all hes life)
5.pat
6. gale
7.matt smith
8.mossop
9. Mcilourm
10.kopzack
11.hasen
12.hock
13.o'loughlin

14.burrow
15.prescott
16.dudson
17.farrell

19.eric
20.flower
21.tuson if he doesn't leave
22.huges
23.Lloyed
24.spencer
25.crosby

Gale can't tackle for toffee, from what i've seen.

What about Burrow to you guys? That's just appeared on Red Vee. Will it be as a half back or hooker?

tbh i dont think defence will be an issue in the wigan team.

i think burrow is interchange hooker.

You need to be careful that you don't let standards slip, though. Both Finch and Leuluei have always seemed good defensively to me.

Matty Smith's pretty solid in that respect.

i didn't word that how i wanted to, i mean he will become a better defender at wigan when you play with better players you become a better player and apparently wane likes full contact in training so he will get better in defence. plus i wouldn't say bradford and london are good in defence.

tbh i know many people say tommy is an amazing defender but i have noticed him slip or miss alot of tackles, but when he does put a shot in it allways looks like it hurts the other player.

Would love to see that come off. I'd imagine he'd be used as an impact 9 off the bench and cover the halves.
